Throughout the past few years, specifically from my teens until now, I have been searching for something that will satisfy me fully. I searched high and low, whatever it was I was going to find it, and I wasn’t afraid of trying anything. Sure there were moral boundaries, but all it took was one attempt at trying whatever it was and feeling comfortable would set in. You might be on the same page, or by the grace of God alone have never experienced this feeling. Where ever you may be, or have been, I just want to let you know that you will never be completely satisfied with anything that you can find on this world. You can search for money, power, fame, worldly wisdom, physical prowess, on and on, but none of those will satisfy. From what I have experienced so far the only thing that has satisfied me completely is the grace of God, that has been given through the sacrifice of his son, Jesus Christ, on the cross. Where sin, death, shame, guilt, (insert anything here) has been defeated by Christ’s death, burial, and most importantly his resurrection. Not only has he experienced everything that we can, but he also knows everything that we will every experience. Better yet, we are not alone, he has sent his Holy Spirit to counsel us, forever! Even more amazing than that is that God constructed, planned, orchestrated, put forth his sovereign, grace filled plan before anything had happened. Knowing that God, in all his glory, did this, and even still continues to pour out grace upon grace is not fathomable. He even states that he is for us! How awesome is that! Even more so because of everything that we do is sinful, and still he expresses this grace! And again this is all a gift, there is nothing that you can do, no way that you can work, buy, know, to get you this, it is paid in full, free, all yours “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved”(Romans 10:9). What ever your decision may be, just remember the offer still stands, grace is there, and only through Christ may we know the Father!
